1. As previously discussed
the subject matter is complex. However you have identified so great
visual metaphors. There is a sense that you need to forget the ‘science’
and develop the visual aspects of the project more.
|

2. Reflection and the use of
the blogs is your achilles heel. Whilst everyone’s working practice is
different, you do need to demonstrate critical thinking and reflective
practice. You need to show us the intention behind your work.
|
|
|
3. Your have collated a set
of moving image sequences, but it is hard to see how you wish to use them
all. There seem to be several projects happening at once. Make sure you
do not lose focus.
|

|
4. Your visual skills are
every good, you have a strong sense of developing an idea and
transferring it to a project. You do need to actively demonstrate this in
the blog, rather then relying on tutorials and group chats.
|
|
|
5. You have been a good
member of the group, and raised questions and observations form the
framework lectures through to the group chats / crits.
|
|
|
6. You are active and
skilled in your practice. You have already a strong profile back home and
the quality of the work you have shown explains why. Keep this up, but
always challenge yourself.

Research Paper – refer to the
brief and reference comments in relation to the academic structure and unit 1
learning outcomes 2, 3
Your
essay was good. It clearly related the disparate aspects of the project, and
the theme. It is well written and argued. It is interesting that when an
individual behaves ‘irrationally’ not as the group, the fear and suspicion
this arises. This was echoed in the reaction form security staff whilst you
filmed Piccadilly Circus. You need to transfer that tension to the moving
image work.
